AYAKO MIHARA(p)
Piano player. Performed in jazz bars in the suburbs of Tokyo, Himeji, and New York.
Born in Hyogo Prefecture, then Hawaii, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and currently lives in Saitama Prefecture
He started playing the piano as a child, and was in charge of the clarinet and horn in the chorus club in elementary school and the brass band in junior high school. During his school days, he spent time in the United States and became interested in jazz.
After graduating, he started performing and currently performs in the jazz scene near Tokyo and also serves as a jazz piano instructor.
Since 2016, he has been living in New York for about two months a year, performing in jazz clubs and on the streets, and being taught by Barry Harris and Bertha Hope. In New York, he has performed with Tyler Mitchell, Billy Johnson, and Izuru Azuma . In 2019, he appeared on stage at Jazz Mobile asBerry Harris's cwire, and had the opportunity to perform with Lee Konitz in the orchestra.
Musicians who have been particularly influenced by him include Tommy Flanagan, Bud Powell, and Charlie Parker.
BRENT NUSSEY (b)
Canadian bassist Brent Nussey attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, earning a Degree in Music, and then lived in New York for five years. While in Boston and New York, he played with numerous well-known musicians, including Diana Krall, James Williams, Javon Jackson, Eddie Henderson, and others. Brent now lives in Japan, based in the Tokyo area. Since coming to Japan he has been playing with well-known Japanese artists such as jazz musicians Yoichi Kobayashi, Yoshihiro Arita, Hideaki Yoshioka, Seiichi Nakamura and AKIKO, as well as classical musicians Shigenori Kudo, Mayo Amagai and Masahiro Saito, popular artists Kazuhiko Kato, Konosuke Sakazaki and Koichi “Ari” Matsuda. Brent also plays with many visiting foreign players such as Lew Tabackin, Benny Powell, Sophie Milman and Nicole Henry.
DAICHI HASHIZUME(dr)
Born in 1990 in Nagano Prefectural Science Town.Graduated from Shobi Gakuin University as a special student in the Jazz & Pop Course.While in school, he participated in Korean performances and the jazz festival of NY City College as a selected member.He is taught by Barry Harris.Currently, he is a regular in the trio of bebop pianist Kanji Ota.In addition, he is a regular on the Super Vibration of vibraphone player Takashi Oi, who is familiar from the anime "Lupin the Third's Theme 80s".In addition, he is a regular member of Marshall McDonald's "JAZZ PROJECT", the lead alto saxophonist of the Count Basie Orchestra in New York.He is also close friends with James Zollar, trumpeter of the Duke Ellington Orchestra in New York, and often performs with him when he visits Japan.In 2018, he released the album "JAZZ TOWN" with the leader band JAZZ TOWN.He was a regular commentator on the FM TOMI program "Jazz Groove".
